As warmer weather brings more motorcycles onto Oregon roads, transportation safety officials are urging both drivers and riders to take extra precautions following hundreds of motorcycle crashes and dozens of fatalities statewide last year.
The Oregon Department of Transportation’s Transportation Safety Office highlighted Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month in May by reminding travelers that many crashes involving motorcycles can be prevented through increased awareness and safer driving habits.
