Two measures adopted by the Evans Valley Fire District at its July 9 Board of Directors meeting appeared to be necessary byproducts of the department’s growth.
One is a payroll policy that addresses both its 40-hour employees and those who work a schedule more akin to that of emergency personnel, and the other is buying accounting software that will allow the district to manage its affairs appropriately as a public entity.
