The Bureau of Land Management has postponed a planned wild horse rescue operation on Riddle Mountain after a temporary restraining order was issued in connection with ongoing litigation.
The operation had been scheduled to begin Sept. 9. According to the BLM, the herd faces severe shortages of food and water following a record-dry winter and a wildfire season that burned approximately 70% of the herd management area.
