The Evans Valley Fire District Board of Directors unanimously voted to accept a new contract for Chief Tom Davidson, pending revised language that would disqualify him if he were fired “for cause,” specifically outlining “fraud, ethical violations, gross negligence, and willful misconduct” at its meeting on Thursday, May 21.
The three-year contract includes a three-percent increase over what Davidson earned last year, based on the three-percent increase in property taxes the district can be assessed.
