Fire District Looks To Annex Homes

Jackson County Fire District No. 1 in Rogue River is looking to include 10 homes on Savage Creek Road in Josephine County in its fire coverage.

The addresses on Savage Creek that the district would like to annex, under ORS 478.702, enacted by the Oregon Legislature in 2023, allow fire districts to include addresses within seven miles of the station that are not covered by another fire district.
