DENNIS MICHAEL FEELEY, 84, of Boise, passed away July 4, 2026.
Dennis was born on October 27, 1941, in Los Angeles, California, to Lawrence Feeley and Lola Staples Feeley. He attended Notre Dame High School in Los Angeles and Los Angeles Pierce College, where he received an associate’s degree in criminal justice. He later completed first responder training at the Fire Academy in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Dennis proudly served in the United States Navy before beginning a distinguished 30-year career with the Los Angeles Police Department. Following his retirement from LAPD, he served for five years as a Jackson County Marine Deputy in Oregon. Throughout his life, Dennis remained deeply committed to public service, volunteering with the Evans Valley Fire Department and serving as a first responder in Wimer, Oregon. He also dedicated 20 years as a member of the Board of Directors for the Evans Valley Fire Department.
On February 15, 1992, Dennis married Deborah Feeley at the Los Angeles Police Academy in Los Angeles, California. Together they made their home in Newhall, Rogue River, Oregon, and Boise, Idaho.
Dennis had many interests and hobbies that reflected both his creativity and his love of family. He enjoyed creating stained glass, gardening, restoring his beloved 1928 Model A automobile, attending car shows, and traveling to every continent. He was always willing to help family members improve their homes, although he often joked that he hated plumbing.
His faith and commitment to serving others were important parts of his life. Dennis was affiliated with Columbia Heights Baptist Church and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Fraternal Order of Police. He participated in youth ministry, taking part in three mission trips to Mexico to help build homes, and served as an LAPD League Delegate.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Feeley of Boise, Idaho; his children, Denyse (Mike) Davis of Emmett, Idaho, Joseph (Margaret) Feeley of Heber City, Utah, and Jennifer (Aaron) Spracklen of Cove, Oregon, Robert (Crystal) of Boise, Idaho; his sister, Kathleen (Michael) Beckman; his grandchildren, Alyssa (Frank) Smith, Jonathan (Lacee Sherman) Spracklen, Victoria Davis, Meghan (Reuben) Herbel, Brennan Feeley, Erin Feeley, Nora Feeley, and Dennis Feeley; and his nieces and nephew, Audrey Butler, Debra Butler-Kleemann, Heather (Marty) Puentes, and Hayden (Loren) Beckman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lola Feeley, and his sister, Caroline Green, and former spouse Virginia Feeley.
Dennis will be remembered for his lifelong dedication to serving his country, his community, and his family. His generous spirit, steady commitment to helping others, and passion for restoring both classic automobiles and personal family homes leaving a legacy for all who knew and loved him.
