At the May 20 meeting of the Jackson County Fire District Board of Directors, Chief Mike Hammond was allowed authorization to forgive certain ambulance bills to update the district’s financial assistance policy.
He had since done so for a patient who had asked for forgiveness in May, and said at the July 8 board meeting he had received another request for forgiveness. That request, which also included a hospital stay, was granted.
