It was Friday the 13th,
and a chilly, wet November
day to boot. But, there was
nothing unlucky about the
day full of warm and fuzzy
moments. It was "the happiest
day of the year" for
Karen Thornton, chief organizer
of the Rogue River
Civic Club's 17th annual
Caps for Kids give-away.
For the better part of the
day, hundreds of Rogue
River Elementary students
paraded through the Civic
Club at the corner of First
and Oak streets to choose
their warm, woolen winter
caps. More hats will be...
